CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 98-125 <br />BY: COUNCILMAN THOMAS O' GRADY <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF ORDINANCE <br />98-32 ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING RATES <br />OF COMPENSAT70N FOR VARIOUS ADMINISTRATIVE AND <br />LEGISLATIVE PERSONNEL AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY" BY PROVIDING FOR A TEMPORARY PART- <br />TIME BOOKKEEPER A POSITION IN 4RDER TO INSURE <br />ADEQUATE TRAINING FOR A TRANSIT70N OF STAFF FOR <br />A PERIOD NOT TO EXCEED SIX MONTHS, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Finance has been informed that one of its experienced <br />Bookkeeper A's is resigning; and <br />WHEREAS, the vacancy created by said employee leaving will have a critical impact on <br />the operation of the Finance Department considering the time of year involving both the closing <br />of the 1998 fiscal year and the beginning of the 1999 fiscal year; and <br />WHEREAS, said employee has agreed, if permitted to do so by ordinance, to remain on <br />a part-time basis for purposes of training her replacement for a period not to exceed six months; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, this Council is of the belief that it is in the best interest of the City to permit <br />the Director of Finance to maintain a part-time temporary Bookkeeper A position to last not more <br />than six months. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That Section 3 of Ordinance 98-32, which presently reads as follows: <br />"SECTION 3: That the following salary ranges are hereby established for employees of the <br />Department of Finance. The salaries in this section shall be determined by the Director of Finance <br />as appropriate. <br />
