CI1'Y OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE #98-102 <br />BY: MAYOR MiJSIAL <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING TBE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO <br />AN AGREEMENT WITH TBE OHIO PATROLMEN' S <br />BENEVOLENT ASSOCIATION, WHICH AGREEMENT IS TBE <br />COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT BETWEEN TI-E CITY <br />AND TTiE NORTH OLMSTED EMERGENCY CENTRAL <br />DISPATCHERS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the legislature of the State of Ohio has heretofore adopted legislation <br />calling for Collective Bargaining Agreements with public employees; and <br />WHEREAS, the Emergency Central Dispatchers through the Ohio Patrolmen's <br />Benevolent Association has been recognized as the exclusive bargaining agent for the <br />Emergency Central Dispatchers; and <br />WHEREAS, the Administration has bargained with the members of the Emergency <br />Central Dispatchers and concluded that bargaining with an agreement which is satisfactory <br />to the Administration; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter into the <br />Collective Bargaining Agreement which has been negotiated by the Administration. <br />NOW, TBEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY TI-E COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />Section 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter <br />into the Collective Bargaining Agreement which was negotiated with the Ohio <br />Patrolmen's Benevolent Association and the Emergency Central Dispatchers, a copy of <br />which Agreement is attached hereto and marked, "Exbibit A". Section 2: That the effective date of any and all wage and fringe benefits specified <br />in said Agreement shall be Ju1y 1, 1998. <br />
