w? CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 98- 91 BY: MAYOR MUSIAL ANORDINANCEAUTHORIZING THEMAYOR OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED TO ENTER INTO AN INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR AGREEMENT WITH ROBERT J. KRYNAK, FOR THEPURPOSE OFPROYIDING TRAFFIC SIGNAL REPAIR AND CONSULTING SERVICES TO THE CITY, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, Robert J. Krynak is a former long-time member of the North Olmsted police department; and WHEREAS, Robert J. Krynak has for years, as a city employee, provided traffic signal repair and other related services to the City; and , WHEREAS, Robert J. Krynak wishes to retire from city employment, but continue to provide the City with traffic signal repair and consulting services on an as needed basis; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Administration to retain the services of Robert J. Krynak on a contractual basis; and WHEREAS, this Council desires to authorize the Mayor to enter into an Independent Contractor Agreernent with Robert J. Krynak for the purpose of providing the City with traffic signal repair and consulting services; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF TIfE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION l: That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to enter into an Independent Contractor Agreement with Robert J. Krynak, for the purpose of providing the City with traffic signal repair and consulting services. Said Agreement shall be in substantially the form and substance as the Agreement attached to this Ordinance as "Exhibit A." SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the further reason that it is immediately necessary to authorize said contract so that the City is able to keep its traffic signal system in good repair and free from nuisance, and further provided it
