<br />SECTION 2: That any and all rates to be paid within Section 1 hereinof, shall be <br />established by the Chief of Police. <br />SECTION 3: That the salary ranges and amounts established for the yeaz 1998 <br />will be effective retroactive to January l, 1998. Salaries specified in this ordinance shall <br />be paid by the Director of Finance on a bi-weekly basis. <br />SECTION 4: That this Ordinance hereby repeals any and all Ordinances or parts <br />of Ordinances or Resolutions inconsistent herewith. <br />SECTION 5: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and <br />welfare, and for the further reason that it is immediately necessary for continuity of <br />services of the Safety Forces of the city and further, provided it receives the affirmative <br />vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: <br />ATTEST: <br />Barbara L.
