<br /> <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 98 - 63 <br />BY: Mavor Norman Musial <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SUBMIT AND SEEK FINANCTAL <br />ASSISTANCE FROM THE STATE NATUREWORKS LOCAL GRANTS PROGRAM <br />ADMINISTERED BY THE OHIO DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCE5 FOR <br />FUNDING OF STORMVYATER MANAGEMENT AND ACCESSORY <br />IMPROVEMENTS AT THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED' S SPRINGVALE GOLF <br />COURSE AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the State of Ohio, through the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, <br />administer financial assistance for public recreation purposes, through the State of Ohio Nature <br />Works Program, and <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted desires financial assistance under the Nature <br />Works Program. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: The Mayor is hereby authorized to submit and apply to the Ohio <br />Department of Natural Resources for financial assistance for stormwater management and <br />accessory improvements at Springvale Golf Course through the Nature Works Program. <br />SECTION 2: The Mayor is further authorized to enter into any agreements as may be <br />necessary and appropriate for obtaining this financial assistance in conjunction with the <br />recommendation of the City Engineer, and approved as to form by the City Law Director, in <br />accordance with all authority granted and limitations upon by the City Director of Finance. <br />SECTION 3: That one certified copy of this resolution be forwarded to the City <br />Engineer to be included with said application. <br />SECTION 4: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and further <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take <br />effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />
