CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 98-58 <br />BY: Councilman Dean McKav <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORiZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO <br />ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR REPLACEMENT OF CULVERT NO. 5 ON BARTON <br />ROAD IN THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED AS DETAILED IN THE <br />SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO CONTRACT <br />FOR THE SAME, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the necessary specifications, as prepared under the direction of the <br />Engineering Department of the City of North Olmsted, are on file, and <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted has entered into an agreement with Cuyahoga <br />County in which the County will provide fifty percent of the cost of construction of the <br />replacement of Culvert No. 5 on Barton Road. <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter into an <br />Agreement to construct said improvement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCII, OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby authorized to <br />advertise for bids for replacement of Culvert No. 5 on Barton Road in the City of North Olmsted <br />according to specifications now on file in his office and that, upon approval by the Board of <br />Control, the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a Contract and execute same on behalf of <br />the City of North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and further <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take <br />effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />r <br />PASSED: <br />JET: <br />; Barbara L.
