Ohio <br />Projecc Cost: $1.5 Million <br />Complecion Date: 1996 <br />Description: <br /> <br />As part oti rhe on-going developmenc for its commercial sector, the City of North Olmsred <br />undertook improvemenrs of the perimecer roads around the new Water Tower Square Shopping <br />Center. Polytech provided design services for this work as follows: <br />Mill Road was widened from two lanes to throe lanes replacing the existing pavement <br />with new reinforced concrete. A new storm stwer systetn was provided, desiped <br />with in-line storage to alleviate the effect of additional storm water on the existim <br />system wtuch is currently overloaded. A 12" water line was lowered and relocated <br />for the full length of the road. <br />Dover Center Road was improved at the intersection with Mill Road and Lorain <br />Avenue by widening to add new left and right turn lanes. Traffic signals aad <br />pedestrian signals were reptaced and upgraded. <br />Lorain Avecrue was improved at the intecaection with Dover Certer Road by widejriag <br />to provide an additionsl right tum lane at each side. Traffic sigoals and pedestrian <br />signais were repiaced and upgraded. <br />Porter Road was improved at the intersection with IVI'ill Road by providing new left <br />turn lamm at both sides of the irnersection. The pavemeni was widened and curbing <br />was added. New catch basins and sewers were provided, and new traffic signals were <br />installed. <br />The construction documents presented all detailed information for tha required worlc, ineludiag <br />roadway typical sections; plan and profile; irnersection dezails attd pavement joint plaas; c:ross <br />secx'sons; water woric plams; storm sewrr profiks and detads; tcsffic signai dmils; traffic coatrol piaas <br />$Wm8 sgns and pavemat mubngs; rigirt-of-way plans and parcel descriptions. Coaswction cost <br />estimates and Project Manuals were also prepared. <br />
