<br />Ordinance No. 98-09 page 2 <br />WHEREAS, Cuyahoga County has established goals for <br />participation of Minority Business Enterprise and Women <br />Business Enterprise for construction related projects of 15% to <br />25% for M.B.E. and 5% to 20% for W.B.E.; and <br />WHEREAS, the City recognizes the MBE/WBE goals of Cuyahoga <br />County to be the target percentages for Community <br />Development Block Grant projects. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT OR.DAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That this Council does hereby authorize a <br />specification requirement for MBE/WBE participation <br />of 15s for Minority Business Enterprise and 5% for <br />Women Business Enterprise in Fiscal Year 1998 for the <br />project application to Community Development Block <br />Grant named "Americans With Disabilities Act <br />Compliance For The City Of North Olmsted's Springvale <br />Country Club And Ballroom ." <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the <br />preservation of the public health, safety, and <br />welfare, and for the further reason it is immediately <br />necessary for the City to file an application for <br />Community Development Block Grant funds on or before <br />March 02, 1998, and further, provided it receives the <br />affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of the <br />Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its passage and approval by the <br />Mayor. <br />SECTION 3: All prior Ordinances inconsistent with this <br />Ordinance, in whole or in part, are repealed to the <br />extent necessary to avoid conflict with this <br />Ordinance so as to achieve the objectives of this <br />Ordinance. <br />, <br />?
