0 C) <br />QLY OF NORTS OLMSTID <br />ORDINANCE NO. 910-150 <br />BY.• .?''GRAllY <br />A RES'OLU770N AUTSORILING TgE DIRECTOR Ola' <br />PUBLIC SAFE77 TO ADMRTISE FOR BIDS FOR TSE <br />GZTaRING AND LEVF.LIIVG OF LAND, PLAC'7?.NE'Nl' OF <br />DRAINAGE AND SEIDING OF TTgEE NORTSWESTFRIV <br />FOR770N OF NORTg OI.AtSTID PARg I1V TZE CITY OF <br />NORTg OLMSTED, AND DEQ.elRIlKGANEtGIIVCY, <br />'HVHEREAS, the Recreation Department of the City of North Olmsted has deter- <br />mined that it is in the best interest of the City to place into use the area of the North <br />Olmsted City Park which lies to the North, bordering North Park, West Pazk and East <br />Park Drives; and <br />WHFREIS, in order to best utilize said land for park purposes, it is necessary to <br />improve said land by clearing the same, providing for drainage and planting of grass; and <br />WILERT.AS, this Council believes that it is in the best interest of the City to proceed <br />with the aforesaid project. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTID, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SEGTION 1: That the Director of Public Safety be and he is hereby authorized to <br />advertise for bids for the clearing and leveling of land, placement of drainage and seeding <br />of the Northwestern portion of North Olmsted Park in the City of North Olmsted, all of <br />which shall be in accordance with specifications now on file in his office, and that upon <br />approval by the Boazd of Control, the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a contract <br />and execute the same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted. <br />SEC170N 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and for <br />the further reason that it is immediately necessary to proceed with this project at this time <br />so that the land will be available for park purposes in the Spring of 1991 and further, <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it <br />sha11 tale-effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: aLe,",,4cU <br />ATTEST: <br />FLORENC CAMPBELL, ` <br />' Clerk of Council <br />MAYOR EDWA YLE <br />/' -.a,r+.,.?-t- ° ? <br />? 7AMES D.
