. _ .?. ? <br />, <br />> <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 90 - 145 <br />BY: MAYOR ED BOYLE <br />AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE OFFICIAL FLAG OF THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted desires to have <br />its own, official flag; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has determined, as recommended <br />by judges Marie Case, Linda Schuler and Thomas Ciha, <br />that the drawing of the flag submitted by Sarah <br />McIntyre, 6003 Burns Road, North Olmsted, is the flag <br />most suited for the official flag of the City of <br />North Olmsted; and <br />WHEREAS, The City now wishes to memorialize its <br />decision to adopt the flag as offered by Sarah <br />McIntyre. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND <br />STATE 0 F OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the City of North Olmsted does <br />hereby officially declare that there will be an <br />official flag for the City of North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That the drawing of the flag as <br />submitted by Sarah McIntyre shall be declared to be <br />the official flag of the City of North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 3: That the drawing of the flag as <br />submitte aforesaid shall be used to design and make <br />the official flag of the City, which flag shall fly <br />and be displayed on holidays and at official <br />functions of the Cir.y of North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 4: That this ordinance is hereby <br />declare to be an emergency measure necessary for the <br />preservation of the public health, safety and <br />welfare, and further provided that it received the <br />affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of <br />Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its passage and approval by the <br />Mayor.
