? <br />? <br />Avwl? <br />vao, <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />QRDINANCE N0. 90-32 <br />BY: ' CDLfiNCIJaWOMAN BAHAS <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYQR TO <br />ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH THE OHId PUBLIC WORKS COM- <br />MISSION FOR THE PURFOSE OF RELINING THE WATER LINE <br />SITUATED IN LORAIN ROAD FROM DOVER CENTER ROAD WESTERLY <br />TO THE CITY LIMITS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City of North OImsted <br />2 money obtained engineering pIans and <br />the Lorain Road water line; and <br />in anticipation in receiving issue <br />specifications for the reIining of <br />WHEREAS, upon appIication for said funds, the Ohio PubIic Works Com- <br />mission approved said project in an amount not to exceed $634,500.00; and <br />WHEREAS, the City is required to approve the action of the Ohio Works <br />Commission by entering into an agreement accepting said funds; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire ot this Council to authorize and direct the <br />Mayor to enter into the attached contract, which is marked Exhibit "A". <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY QF NORTH <br />4LMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHdGA AND STATE OF OHId: <br />SECTION I: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed <br />to enter into an agreement with the Ohio FubIic Works Commission for the <br />relining of the water Iine Iocated within Lorain Road, which water Iine <br />begins at the intersection of Dover Center Road and Lorain Road, westerIy <br />to the City Iine. A copy of said agreement is attached hereto and made a <br />part hereof and marked Exhibit "A". <br />SECTION 2: That this ordinance is hereby decIared an emergency <br />measure necessary for the preservation of the pubIic heaIth, safety and <br />welfare, and for the further reason that it is immediateIy necessary to <br />enter into the aforesaid agreement to meet the construction season of 1990, <br />and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of aIl <br />members elected to Council, it shaIl go into immediate force and effect <br />upon its signing by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: oL4 0 <br />ATTEST: <br />-) e - -? . - , 4 . <br />FLORENCE E.
