. <br /> <br />?...- ,?., <br />CITY OF NdRTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 90-25 <br />BY: DEAN MCKAY <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CONTROL FILE OF <br />THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED BY PROVIDING FOR THE <br />PROHIBITION OF TRUGK TRAFFIC ON A PORTION OF <br />COUNTRY CLUB B4ULEVARD AND, DECLARING AN EMERGEN- <br />CY, AS AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, the condition ot the surface of Country CIub BIvd. between <br />victoria Lane and Lorain Roact has deteriorated to the point that it is no <br />Ionger safe for excessive vehicuIar traffic; and <br />WHEREAS, this CounciI is of the opinion that it wouId be in the best <br />interest ot the public heaIth, safety and weIfare of the residents of the <br />City to restrict truck traftic on said street from and after a point where <br />the first cut-through provides access to Great Northern Shopping Center; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Chagter 305 of the Traffic Code provides for the maintenance <br />of the Traffic ControI File, which said file can be amended onIy by ordi- <br />nance. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Police Department be and the same is hereby <br />authorized and directed to amend the Traffic ControI File of the City of <br />iVorth OImsted to indicate thereon the instaIIation ot traffic signs pro- <br />hibiting truck traftic when said trucks are in excess of 3/4 ton, on <br />Country CIub BouIevard between Victoria Lane and Lorain Road for vehicles <br />traveling in a westerIy direction and prohibiting said trucks traveIing in <br />a southeasterly direction from a point after the tirst cut-through servic- <br />ing Great Northern Shopping Center. <br />SEC_TZON 2: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed <br />to cause said traffic signs, as aforesaid,to be instalIed in accordance <br />with the provisions of this Ordinance. <br />SECT_TON_3: That this ordinance is hereby declared an emergency meas- <br />ure necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and weI- <br />fare, and for the further reason that it is immeQiateIy necessary to pro- <br />tect the motoring pubIic, and further provided it receives the affirmative <br />vote of two-thirds of aII members elected to Council, it shaIl go into <br />immediate force and effect upon its signing by the Mayor.
