,? `r?`" <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 90-24 <br />BY: DEAN MCKAY <br />AN dRDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CONTRQL FILE OF <br />THE CITY OF NORTH QLMSTED BY PROVIDING FOR THE <br />INSTALLATION OF THREE WAY STOP SIGNS AT THE INTER- <br />SECTION OF COLUMBIA AND BUTTERNUT RIDGE ROADS, <br />THEREBY CONTROLLING TRAFFIC TRAVELLING IN A SOUTH- <br />ERLY DIRECTION dN COLUMBIA ROAD, CONTRdLLING <br />TRAFFIC TRAVELLING IN A NORTHERLY DIRECTIQN ON <br />COLUMBIA ROAD, AND CONTROLLING TRAFFIC TRAVELLING <br />IN A EASTERLY DIRECTION ON BUTTERNUT RIDGE ROAD, <br />AND DECLARiNG AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, this Council has determined that it is in the best interest <br />of the safety, heaIth, and weIfare of the citizens of the City of North <br />Olmsted to provide for the installation ot three way stop signs at the <br />intersection of CoIumbia and Butternut Ridge Roads; and <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 345 of the Traffic Code provides for the maintenance <br />of the Traffic Control File, which said file can be amended only by ordi- <br />nance. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NaRTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHId: <br />SECTION 1: That the PoIice Department be and the same is hereby <br />authorized and directed to amend the Traffic Control File of the City ot <br />North OImsted to indicate thereon the instaIlation of three way stop signs <br />at the interesection of CoIumbia and Butternut Ridge Road, thereby controI- <br />Iing traffic travelIing in a southerly direction on CoIumbia Road, control- <br />Iing traffic travelling in a northerly direction on CoIumbia Road, and <br />controlling tratfic travelling in a easterIy direction on Butternut Ridge <br />Road, as aforesaid. <br />SECTION 2: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed <br />to cause said three way stop signs to be instalIed in accordance with the <br />provisions of this Ordinance. <br />SECTION 3: That this ordinance is hereby declared an emergency meas- <br />ure necessary for the preservation of the public heaIth, safety and weI- <br />fare, and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of aII <br />members elected to CounciI, it shall go into immediate force and effect <br />upon its signing by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: IFF6 <br />1
