. <br />CITY QF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 90-23 <br />BY: DEAN MCKAY <br />? <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CONTROL FILE OF <br />THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED BY PROVIDING FOR THE <br />INSTALLATION OF A"NO RIGHT TURN ON RED" SIGN AT <br />CEDAR FOINT ROAD AND C4LUMBIA ROAD TO READ "Nd <br />RIGHT TURN ON RED FROM 6:30 A.M. TO 8:00 A.M., <br />AND FROM 4:30 P.M. TO 6:30 P.M. - WEEKDAYS dNLY", <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, this CounciI has determined that it is in the best interest <br />ot the safety, health, and welfare of the citizens of the City of North <br />OImsted to prohibit the turning on red at Cedar Point Road westbound where <br />the same intersects with Columbia Road northbound, between the hours of <br />6:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., and from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. - Weekdays OnIy; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 305 of the Traffic Code provides for the maintenance <br />of the Traffic ControI File, which said file can be amended only by ordi- <br />nance. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NQRTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF dHIO: <br />SECTIDN I: That the PoIice Department be and the same is hereby <br />authorized and directed to amend the Traffic Control File of the City of <br />North OImsted to indicate thereon the instaIlation of a"No Right Turn on <br />Red Between the Hours of 6:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m., and from 4:30 p.m. to <br />6:30 p.m. - Weekdays Only," sign at the intersection ot Cedar Point Road <br />and Columbia Roact, as aforesaid. <br />SECTION 2: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed <br />to cause said "No Right Turn on ReQ Between the Hours of 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 <br />a.m., and from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. - Weekdays OnIy," sign to be in- <br />staIlect in accordance with the provisions of this Ordinance. <br />SECTION 3: That this ordinance is hereby decIarea an emergency meas- <br />ure necessary for the preservation of the public heaIth, safety and weI- <br />fare, and tor the further reason that it is immediateIy necessary to pro- <br />tect the motoring pubIic, and further provided it receives the affirmative <br />vote of two-thirds ot aIl members eIected to CounciI, it shalI go into <br />immediate force and effect upon its signing by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: J'Yd <br />1
