°- • ARTICLE VI <br />? <br />RULES, REGUL2,TIONS AND ORDERS <br />The Association agrees that its members shall comply with all Fire <br />Department rules, regulations and orders, includ.ing those relating to <br />conduct and work performance. <br />ARTICLE VII <br />GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE <br />7.1 Every Fmployee shall have the right to present his Grievance in <br />accordance with the procedure provided herein, free from any <br />interferenee, coercion, restraint, discr'a.r,iination or reprisal. <br />It is the intent and purpose of the parties to this Agreerient <br />that all Grievances shall be settled at the lowest possible step of <br />this procedure. <br />7.2 The followino procedures shall apply to the aaministration of all <br />Grievances filed under this Article. A. Except at Step 1 as detailed in this Article, Section 7.3, <br />all Grievances filed shall include the name and position of the <br />Aggrieved Party; the Article and section of this A?,?reenent <br />involved in the Grievance; the time and place where the events <br />or conditions constitutinb the Grievance took place; tYie <br />identity of the party responsible for the Grievance, if lmown <br />to the Aggrieved Party; and a general staterient of the nature <br />of the Grievance and the redress sought by the Aggrieved Party. <br />B. Except at Step 1, all decisions shall be rendered in writing at <br />each step of the Grievance Procedure. Each decision shall be <br />transmitted to the Aggrieved Party and his representative, if <br />any. <br />C. If a Grievance affects a group of Fmployees working in <br />different work locations, with different principles, or <br />associated with an Employer-wide controversy, it may be <br />submitted at Step 3. <br />D. The preparation and processing of Grievances by Fmployees <br />shall be conducted only during off duty hours, unless agreed <br />to otherwise by the ranking individual authorized and present <br />to hear Grievances, the Shift Captain or designee or a higher <br />authority authorized to hear the Grievance. <br />.?. -8- <br />,? ., <br />
