LIND <br />AN ORDINADtCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN <br />AGRM1ENT WITH THE NOR'IHERN OHIO PATROLMIIN' S <br />BENEVULENT ASSOCIATION, WHICH AGREMIIV'T IS ZTiE <br />COLLECTIVE BAitGAINING AGREIIMENT BE'1't?T 'IIiE CITY <br />AND 'IIHE NORTH OLMSTED POLICE DEPARTN7'T DISPATCHERS, <br />AND DECLARING AN IIMERGIIVCY. <br />tidEREAS, the legislature of the State of Ohio ha.s heretofore adopted <br />legislation calling for Collective Bargaining Agreements with public er.iployees; <br />and, <br />14FiEREAS, the Police Departrnent Dispatchers through the Northern Ohio <br />Patrolmen's Benevolent Association has been recooized as the exclusive <br />bargaining agent for the Police Department Dispa'tchers; and <br />1,1iEREAS, the Administration has bargained with the meribers of the Police <br />Department Dispatchers and concluded that bargaining with an agreement which is <br />satisfactory to the Administration; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter <br />into the Collective Bargaining Agreement which has been negotiated by the <br />Administration. <br />NOW, TH=ORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY 7HE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF lJORTH <br />OI,NiSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />Section l: That the rlayor be and Ye is hereby authorized and directed to <br />enter into the Collective 33argaining Agreernent which was negotiated with the <br />Northern Ohio Patrolmen's Benevolent Association and the Police Department <br />Dispa.tchers, a copy of which Agreement is attached hereto and riarked, <br />"Exhibit A". <br />Sectiori 2: ihat the effective date of any and all wage and fringe <br />benefits specified in said Agreement shall be July 20, 1992. <br />Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be and the same hereby is declared <br />to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the <br />public peace, health, safety and welfare of this City and for the further <br />reason that it is irrnnediately necessary to provide for the continuity of <br />services for the year 1992 and thereafter; wherefore, this Ordinance shall be <br />in full force and effect from and immediately after its passage and approval by <br />the Mayor.
