<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 92-140 <br />BY: DEAN MCKAY <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CONTROL <br />FILE OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED BY PROVIDING <br />FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A STOP SIGN ON QUAIL RUN <br />WHERE THE SAME INTERSECTS WITH PHEASANTS <br />WALK, THEREBY REGULATING TRAFFIC ENTERING <br />PHEASANTS WALK, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, this Council is aware of the fact that currently there is no stop sign <br />regulating traffic entering onto Pheasants Walk from Quail Run; and <br />VVfIEREAS, it is the belief of this Council that the lack of a stop sign on Quail Run <br />where the same intersects with Pheasants Wa1k, regulating traffic entering Pheasants Walk is a <br />safety hazard; and <br />VVFIEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to correct the aforesaid deficiency by <br />installing a stop sign on Quail Run regulating traffic entering Pheasants Wa1k; and <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 305 of the Traffic Code provides for the maintenance of the <br />Traffic Control File, which said file can be amended only by ordinance. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Police Department be and the same is hereby authorized and <br />directed to amend the Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted to indicate thereon the <br />installation of a stop sign on Quail Run where the same intersectd with Pheasants Walk, thereby <br />regulating the traffic entering Pheasants Walk, as aforesaid. <br />SECTION 2: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to cause said <br />stop sign to be installed in accordance with the provisions of this Ordinance. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the <br />further reason that it is immediately necessary to protect the health, safety and welfare of the <br />citizens of the City of North Olmsted and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of
