.? <br />"'IN <br />BY : COUNGILMAI1T MCKAY <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCS N0. 92-128 <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF <br />PUBLIC SAFETY TO ADVERTISB FOR BIDS FOB <br />ADDITIONAL MOTOROLA EQUIPMENT TO UP-DATE <br />E%ISTING MOTOROLA CENTRACOM SERIES II DISPATCH <br />CONSOLE WITHIN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT. <br />WHEREAS, The City wishes to establish a Central Dispatch <br />program combining the dispatch duties of Police Department calls and <br />Fire Department emergency fire and rescue calls, and <br />WHEREAS, The central dispatching duties will be handled by <br />the Police Department, and <br />WHEREAS, The existing Motorola Centracom Series II Dispatch <br />Console within the Police Department is, at present, a one position <br />dispatch console and additional Motorola equipment is needed to <br />increase the capabilities of the present console to a two position <br />dispatch unit necessary for the Central Dispatch program. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That the Director of Public Safety be and he is <br />hereby authorized to advertise for bids for the additional Motorola <br />equipment necessary to increase the capabilities of the present <br />Motorola Centracom Series II Dispatch Console to a two position <br />dispatch unit. <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />public health, safety and welfare of the area residents and further <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: <br />ATTEST, <br />B rbara Seman <br />Cl k of Council <br />APPROVED: ?.?:?o-?.,r.? •??; /9'9'2 <br />Ed Boyle <br />Mayor <br />? <br />ames D.
