ORDINANCE N0. 92-126 <br />BY: Councilman McKay <br />AN ORDINANCE AUIIMRIZIIVG ANID DIRECTTIl+IG THE MAYOR OF THE CITY <br />QF NDR7S OLMM 1i0 FNM IN1i0 AN AGtFF7MMT WI18 MALCOI1I PIRNIE, <br />INC. 7'0 PROVIDE II?1GIl?tING SERVICES FOR THE REPAIR ANID RFPLAC'F.- <br />MMr QF TEE NATIIRAT GA$ LIlM AT 1HS WA.STEWATIIt 1RF.A'tMM1' PLAN.C, <br />ANID DECIARIlNG AN IIrfE[tGKC.'Y. <br />WHERF,AS, the 1ylayor has recomended the services of the engineering firm <br />of Malcolm Pirnie, Inc. to accomplish the aforesaid project due to their <br />expertise in this field; and <br />WHEREAS, upon the recommendation of the Ma.yor, this Council does hereby <br />express its desire to have the Mayor enter into a contract with said firm for <br />and on behalf of the City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, <br />COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to <br />enter into an agreement with Malcolm Pirnie, Inc. to provide engineering <br />services for repair and replacement of the natural gas lines at the Wastewater <br />Treatment Plant. A copy of said agreement is attached hereto and made a part <br />hereof and marked Exhibit "A". <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />imQnediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and <br />welfare, and for the further reason that it is imediately necessary to <br />proceed with Engineering services to remedy deficiencies at the Wastewater <br />Treatment Plant, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two- <br />thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its passage and approval by the Ma.yor. <br />PASSED .e-?)l a'Z <br />ATTEST: <br />BARBARA L.
