?;::... <br />, <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0. 92-86 <br />BY: MAYOR ED BOYLE AND ENTIRE CITY COUNCIL <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING T] <br />APPLICATION AND ENTER INTO <br />OHIO DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL <br />OF ACQUIRING FUNDS THROUGH <br />RECYCLING PROGRAM PURSUANT <br />ACT OF 1980, AND DECLARING <br />3E MAYOR TO FILE AN <br />AN AGREEMENT WITH THE <br />RESOURCES FOR THE PURPOSE <br />THE LITTER PREVENTION AND <br />TO THE OHIO LITTER CONTROL <br />AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, millions of dollars are spent in Ohio each <br />year to remove unsightly and unsanitary litter from along <br />roads, streets, waterways, recreational places and other <br />public areas; and <br />WHEREAS, The City of North Olmsted recognizes the <br />the need to address the problem at a local level; and <br />WHEREAS, the Ohio Litter Control Act of 1980, <br />provides, through the Department of Natural Resources, a <br />Division of Litter Prevention and Recycling for the purpose <br />of the allocation of funds in the form of grants for the <br />purposes of supplemental local Litter Prevention and <br />Recycling Programs. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Council of the City of North <br />Olmsted herekiy endorses and supports a Litter Prevention and <br />Recycling Program for the City of North Olmsted and <br />authorizes the necessary funds to implement said program, if <br />approved, as indicated in its application. <br />SECTION 2: That the City of North Olmsted, if awarded <br />the grant, agrees to provide a direct cash match equal to 20 <br />percent of the amount of funds received. <br />SECTION 3: That the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted <br />is hereby authorized to apply for and, if awarded, enter <br />into agreement with the Department to administer a grant to <br />implement said program, and that the Mayor is authorized to <br />sign said agreement.
