Ordinance No. 92 -72 <br />a <br />908.04 REMOVAL OF NONCONFORMING OR UNSAFE MAILBOXES: <br />Page 3 <br />Any mailbox that is found to violate the intent of this regulation shall <br />be removed by the postal patron upon notification by the City. At the <br />discretion of the City, based on an assessment of hazard to the public, the <br />patron will be granted not less than 24 Yiours nor more than 30 da,ys to <br />remove an unacceptable mailbox. After the specified removal period has <br />expired, the unacceptable mailbox will be removed by the City at the <br />postal patron's expense. <br />908.99 PENALTY <br />Whoever violates any provision of this chapter is guilty of a <br />minor misdemeanor. Any such violation shall constitute a separate offense <br />on each da.y during which a violation occurs or continues." <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is lereby declared to be an esnergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and <br />welfare and for the further reason that it i.mmediately necessary to adjust the rates <br />to fair and equitable, and further, provided it receives the affirmative vote of <br />two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its passage axxl approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: <br />ATTEST: <br />ZZG??C.ICr i ? uv.? <br />BARBARA L.
