<br />- ?... <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 92- 71 <br />BY: DEAN MCKAY <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CONTROL <br />FILE OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED BY PROVIDING <br />FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A STOP SIGN ON MARTIN <br />DRIVE WHERE THE SAME INTERSECTS WITH NORTH <br />PARK DRIVE, THEREBY REGULATING TRAFFIC <br />ENTERING NORTH PARK DRIVE, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, this Council is aware of the fact that currently there is no stop sign <br />regulating traffic entering onto North Pazk Drive from Martin Drive; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the belief of this Council that the lack of a stop sign on Martin Drive <br />where the same intersects with North Park Drive, regulating traffic entering North Park Drive <br />is a safety hazard; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to correct the aforesaid deficiency by <br />installing a stop sign on Martin Drive regulating traffic entering North Park Drive; and <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 305 of the Traffic Code provides for the maintenance of the <br />Traffic Control File, which said file can be amended only by ordinance. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Police Department be and the same is hereby authorized and <br />directed to amend the Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted to indicate thereon the <br />installation of a stop sign on Martin Drive where the same intersectd with North Park Drive, <br />thereby regulating the traffic entering North Park Drive, as aforesaid. <br />SECTION 2: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to cause said <br />stop sign to be installed in accordance with the provisions of this Ordinance. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the <br />further reason that it is immediately necessary to protect the health, safety and welfare of the <br />citizens of the City of North Olmsted and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of
