BY: DEAN MCKAY <br />AN ORDINANCE ADDING THE POSITION OF CORRECTION <br />OFFICER TO THE ORGANIZATIONAL CHART AND <br />COMPOSITION OF THE NON-UrTIFORM, PART-TIME <br />PERSONNEL OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, this Council previously adopted Ordinance No. 92-21 establishing the <br />composition of the non-uniform personnel of the Police Department; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to create a new position of Conection <br />Officer. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That there is hereby added to the organizational chart for non-uniform <br />personnel, within the Police Department, the following positions: <br />Three (3) full-time Conection Officers - salary range -$7.00 to $10.00 per hour. <br />SECTION 2: The salary within the range established in Section 1 hereof shall be <br />determined by the Director of Public Safety upon the recommendation of the Chief of Police. <br />The salary specified in this Ordinance shall be paid by the Director of Finance on a bi-weekly <br />basis. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the <br />further reason that it is immediately necessary to establish the aforesaid positions to meet the <br />requirements imposed by the jail standards adopted by the State of Ohio and further provided <br />it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and <br />be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: <br />ATIa.??, 75 <br />ARBARA L.
