CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0. 92 - 37 <br />BY: Mayor Boyle <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING 'I'HE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH <br />BROWNING-FERRIS INDUSTRIES OF OHIO, INC. FOR IMPLIIAIIVTATION OF A <br />RECYCLING PROGRAM AND DECLARING AN ENIERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City previously entered into a contract with Browning- <br />Ferris of Ohio, Inc. for solid waste disposal and collection, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to provide a recycling <br />service as a supplement to the existing service. <br />NOW THIItEFORE, BE IT RESOLVID BY THE COUNCIL OF Tl-i-iE CITY OF NORTH <br />OL24STID, COLINTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIQ: <br />SECTION 1: That upon approval by the Board of Control, the Ma.yor <br />is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Browning-Ferris <br />Industries of Ohio, Inc. for implementation of a recycling program and <br />execute same on behalf of the City of North Olristed. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the public health, <br />safety and welfare, and for the further reason that is immediately <br />necessary to negotiate a contract for implementation of a recycling <br />program and further provided it receives an affirmative vote of two- <br />thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in <br />tely upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />; <br />force im7)L <br />PASSED : - <br />ATTEST: ? `Barbara Seman (Clerk of Council <br />` <br />APPROVED iA/ f <br />Fdward J.
