CITY OF NORTIi OLMSTID <br />ORDINANCE N0. 92 - 16 <br />BY: MAYOR BOYLE <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTI-iORIZING TfiE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN <br />AGREIIMEN'T WITH THE NORTHERN OHIO PATROIMEN' S <br />BENEVOLIIVT ASSOCIATION, WHICH AGREEMENT IS AN ANIIINlDMIIVT <br />TO 'II3E COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREIIMlIIV'r BETWEEN THE CITY <br />AND THE NOR'IH OLMSTED POLICE DEPARTMENT DISPATCHERS AUTHORIZED <br />BY ORDINANCE 90-49, AND DECLARING AN ENIIItGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the agreement between the Administration and the Northern Ohio <br />Patrolman's Benevolent Association was re-opened for negotiations <br />regarding health insurance for the Police Department Dispatchers. <br />WHEREAS, the Police Department Dispatchers through the Northern Ohio <br />Patrolmen's Benevolent Association has been recognized as the <br />exclusive bargaining agent for the Police Department Dispatchers; and <br />WBIItEAS, the Administration has bargained with the members of the Police <br />Department Dispatchers and concluded that bargaining with an agreement <br />which is satisfactory to the administration; and <br />WBEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to <br />enter into the Collective Bargaining Agreement which has been negotiated <br />by the Administration. <br />NOW 'IIiEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINID BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUN'1'Y OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />Section 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed <br />to enter into the Collective Ba.rgaining Agreement which was negotiated <br />with the Northern Ohio Patrolmen's Benevolent Association and the Police <br />Department Dispatchers, a copy of which Agreement is attached hereto and <br />marked, "Exhibit A". <br />Section 2: '1'hat the effective date of any and all wage and fringe <br />benefits specified in said Agreement shall be January 1, 1992. <br />Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be and the same hereby is declared <br />to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of <br />the public peace, health, safety and welfare of this City and for the <br />further reason that it is imediately necessary to provide for the <br />continuity of services for the year 1992 and thereafter; wherefore, this <br />Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and immediately after <br />its passage and approval by the Ma.yor.
