. <br />? <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 92-15 <br />BY: Tqayor Boyle <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREMENT <br />WITH THE NORTEI OLMSTID TRANSIT Eh1PL0YEFS ASSOCIATION, WHICH <br />AGREIIMENT IS 'IU COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREIlMENT BETWEEN THE <br />CITY ANID THE NORTH OLMSTEU TRANSIT EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION, <br />AND DECLARING AIv aIERGENCY. <br />WHEREA.S, the legislature of the State of Ohio ha.s heretofore adopted legislation <br />calling for Collective Ba.rgaining Agreements with public employees; and <br />WBEREAS, the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line through the North Olmsted Transit <br />Employees AssociaLion has been recognized as the exclusive bargaining agent for the <br />North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line; and <br />WEEREAS, the Administration has bargained with the menbers of the North Olmsted <br />Transit Employees Association and concluded that bargainirg with an agreement which is <br />satisfactory to the administration; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Nlayor to enter into <br />the Collective Ba.rgaining Agreement which has been negotiated by the administration. <br />NOW, Th'EREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY 'II3E COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, CUUNTY OF <br />CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />Section 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter <br />into the Collective 13argaining Agreement which was negotiated with the North Olmsted <br />Transit Employees Association, a copy of which Agreement is attached hereto and ma,de a <br />part hereof and marked "Exhibit A". <br />Section 2: That the effective date of any and a11 wage and fringe benefits <br />specified in said Agreement shall be August l, 1991 through July 31, 1994. <br />Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be and the same hereby is declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the irmlediate preservation of the public peace, <br />health, safety anu welfare of this City and for the further reason that it is <br />immediately necessary to provide for continuity of services for the year 1992 and <br />thereafter; wherefore, this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and <br />ir=ediately after its passage and approval by the 14ayor. <br />PASSED 402,- <br />ATTEST: 1 <br />/ ` ?? xzl <br />jBARBARA L.
