APPENDIX B - 1 <br />LETTER OP UNDERSTANDING <br />If during the term of the Public Transportation Operating Agreement <br />between the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA) and the City of <br />North Olmsted (City), dated December 14, 1988, the City determines that ft-would <br />be in its best interest to divest itself of its public transit facilities <br />pursuant to Section 24.4 of the agreement, the City shall so notify GCRTA. The <br />City and GCRTA shall commence negotiation for the acquisition of the City's <br />transit facilities by GCRTA upon the same terms and conditions that GCRTA <br />acquired the publicly owned transit systems operated by other municipalities <br />within Cuyahoga County. Furthermore, any such agreement for the acquisition of <br />the City's transit facilities shall include the same labor protections to the <br />transit personnel employed by the City as were afforded to the transft personnel <br />of other municipally owned transit systems acquired by GCRTA.
