. . .. . . ?,...? »...,.... .,... 6 ?.a,.?, ?.., ,. . __ , .,?, , _. ... <br />. . ... ..,...www..+A..?,.u..o:? .... ..:... . . .. . . ....... .,_ .. .... ....... . <br /> <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 96-89 <br />BY: Councilman Nashar <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CONTROL FILE <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED BY PROVIDING FOR <br />THE INSTALLATION OF "NO PARgING" SIGNS ON THE <br />FIRE HYDRANT SIDE OF ALEXANDER ROAD, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, there currently exists a parking congestion problem on Alexander Road; and <br />WHEREAS, parking on the fire hydrant side of Alexander Road potentially impedes <br />emergency crew access in times of emergency; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to promote the safe movement of traffic on <br />Alexander Road and maintain adequate emergency resources by installing "No Parking" signs on <br />Alexander Road; and <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 305 of the Traffic Code provides for the maintenance of the Traffic <br />Control File, which said file can be amended only by ordinance. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNT'Y OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Police Department be and the same is hereby authorized and <br />directed to amend the Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted to indicate thereon the <br />installation of "No Pazking" signs on the fire hydrant side of Alexander Road thereby prohibiting <br />parking, as aforesaid. <br />SECTION 2: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to cause said <br />signs to be installed in accordance with the provisions of this Ordinance. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declazed to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and for the <br />further reason that it is immediately necessary to ensure adequate traffic flow on Alexander Road <br />while maintaining appropriate channels of passage for emergency vehicles and, provided that it <br />receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be <br />in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />
