-lk <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 96-59 <br />BY: MAYOR BOYLE <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PERSONNEL AND <br />ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES TO SEEK SEALED BID PROPOSALS FOR <br />HOSPITALIZATION, MEDICAL-SURGICAL INSURANCE, INCLUDING STOP-LOSS <br />INSURANCE COVERAGE, THIRD PARTY ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES AND <br />BENEFITS FOR EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF NURTH OLMSTED, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to obtain competitive prices for said <br />hospital insurance coverage, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to obtain bid proposals for hospital <br />insurance coverage and stop-loss insurance. <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Control met on July 24, 1992 and determined that <br />proposals for hospitalization coverage shall be by sealed bid. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Personnel and Administrative Services be and <br />he is hereby authorized to obtain sealed bid proposals for hospitalization, medical- <br />surgical insurance coverage, including stop-loss coverage and benefits for employees of <br />the City of North Olmsted, according to specifications now on file in his office, and that <br />upon approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a <br />contract and execute same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That this resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and <br />welfare and for the further reason that the present insurance coverage with the Farley <br />Corporation is nearing expiration, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of <br />two-thirds of all members of council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon <br />its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: 4 <br />A T: ? <br />ARBARA L.
