<br />? <br />(b) investment in Increased Capacity to Accommodate Future Community <br />Communications Needs. The Cable System will include finro (2) fibers of <br />spare capacity which will be located in proximity to the following <br />locations in the City: North Olmsted City Hall, North Olmsted Old Town <br />Hall, North Olmsted Police Department, North Olmsted Fire Stations #1 <br />and #2, North Olmsted Recreation Center and North Olmsted Senior <br />Citizen Center. Any extension and connection of these fibers to the <br />foregoing locations will be at the request and expense of the City. <br />Ameritech agrees that, at the discretion of the City, any School may <br />connect to these fibers at the School's expense. These connections can <br />only be made through a formal agreement between the City and the <br />Schools, and said connections by the Schools shall not be permitted to <br />interfere with any City use of these fibers, at any time now or in the future <br />and before or after the connection is made. Further, the City agrees (and <br />shall cause any connecting School to agree in writing) that such fiber <br />optic facilities and connections shall be used only for transmitting <br />programming to and from the subscriber network and transmissions <br />between and among the foregoing locations and any School connected. <br />(c) PEG Channels. A maximum of three (3) Public/Educational/ <br />Governmental (PEG) Channels will be provided, to be allocated among <br />Public, Educational and Government usage as determined by the City. <br />Franchisee agrees to provide the necessary equipment and facilities <br />within the Cable System to carry the PEG channels to its Subscribers <br />and, to the extent necessary, will seek the agreement of the other cable <br />operator so that Franchisee will be allowed to carry such PEG <br />programming as shall originate on the other cable-operator's system. <br />(d) GRANTEE shall provide Standard Installation free drops and expanded <br />basic service, exclusive of premium or pay-per-view services, as that <br />term is defined from time to time, at no charge as described in Section <br />VIII of this Agreement. At locations for which internal or intra-campus <br />wiring is required, GRANTEE shall provide the wiring and installation of <br />same at Subscriber's cost. <br />(B) Technical Standards <br />1. The GRANTEE shall undertake such proof-of performance and technical <br />inspections and evaluations of the System as shall be required by federal law or <br />regulation and at GRANTEE's expense. The GRANTEE agrees that all testing shall be <br />done by its technical staff. The City may, at its option and expense engage the <br />services of an independent consultant chosen by the City to monitor such activities <br />and Grantee agrees to cooperate fully with such independent consultant. On such <br />occasions that, in the reasanable judgment of the City, it is required to engage the <br />8
