...?-,. , <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 96 - 43 <br />BY: Mayor Ed Boyle <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO <br />SUBMIT AND SEEK FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FROM THE OHIO EPA FOR <br />FUNDING FOR THE GEORGETTE AVENUE SANITARY AND STORM <br />SEWER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Ohio EPA is empowered to accept and approve applications for state <br />financing of sanitary sewer improvements projects of political subdivisions in the State of <br />Ohio; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor is hereby authorized to submit to the Ohio EPA an <br />application for financial assistance for the Georgette Avenue Sanitary and Storm Sewer <br />Improvement Project. <br />SECTION 2: The Mayor is further authorized to enter into any agreements as may be <br />necessary and appropriate for obtaining this financial assistance in conjunction with the <br />recommendation of the City Engineer, and approved as to form by the City Law Director, <br />in accordance with all authority granted to and limitations upon by the City Director of <br />Finance. <br />SECTION 3: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and <br />for the further reason that it is immediately necessary to proceed with the engineering <br />services for various capital improvement projects, and further provided it receives the <br />affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in <br />force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
