,.?. .,;.-w .?.. ,. . ,. <br />C ' <br />• i _ <br />? <br />City of North Olmsted <br />Ordinance No. 96-32 <br />BY: Mavor Ed Boyle <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH WESTERN RESERVE <br />ENGINEERING & SURVEYING COMPANY TO PROVIDE ENGINEERING <br />SERVICES FOR ANALYSIS OF THE WEST PARK - FOREST RIDGE STORM <br />SEWER SYSTEM AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the storm sewer system in the West Park- Forest Ridge area is in <br />need of analysis to determine specific causes of flooding and develop cost effective <br />alternatives for improvements to eliminate flooding of residences; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor has recommended that the services of the Western <br />Reserve Engineering & Surveying Company, be hired to accomplish the aforesaid <br />services due to their expertise in this field; and <br />WHEREAS, upon the recommendation of the Mayor, this Council does hereby <br />express its desire to have the Mayor enter into a contract with said firm for and on behalf <br />of the City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to <br />enter into an Agreement with Western Reserve Engineering & Surveying Company, to <br />provide the analysis of the West Park - Forest Ridge storm sewer system. A copy of said <br />Agreement is attached hereto and made a part hereof and marked Exhibit "A". <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and <br />further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, <br />it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the <br />Mayor.
