. _ ... v .:.. . .. .......? u.,. ._ . . . , ?L CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO. 96-30 BY: THE MAYOR AND ENTIRE COUNCII, A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE ACHICVEMENT BY MATT FEHLNER OF THE EAGLE SCOUT AWARD IN BOY SCOUTING WHEREAS, this Council and the Administration recognize and reaffirm their dedication to organized Scouting; and WHEREAS, this Council and the Administration further recognize that those participating in Scouting, both the youths and their leaders, are an invaluable asset to the community and the Nation, and that the ideals of Scouting, the Scout Law and the Scout Pledge are commitments that all citizens should strive for; and WHEREAS, when one of our young citizens has been committed to Scouting to such an extent that he earns the rank of Eagle Scout, it is truly a noteworthy accomplishment; and WBEREAS, MATT FEHLNER, as a member of Boy Scout Troop 664, has served his fellow Scouts as an Assistant Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, Senior Patrol Leader and Troop Guide and has participated in Memorial Day parades and was chosen to serve as an Honarary Official in the All Scouts Weekend; and Wf-EREAS, MATT FEHLNER, in achieving his Eagle Scout Award earned twenty-seven Merit Badges and the Bronze Palm Award; and WHEREAS, while MATT was u.ndertaking all these Scouting projects, he was an active member of the Olmsted Falls United Church of Christ where he was a member of the Youth Crroup and served as a Junior Deacon; and WHEREAS, MATT is currently a Senior at North Olmsted High School where he participates in Tennis, is a member of the Marching Band, Wind Ensemble and Key Club and has been a Band Section Leader for two years; and WHEREAS, the reception of the Eagle Scout Award by MATT FEHLNER is a noteworthy accomplishment deserviug of the congratulations of the entire community.
