. _ ... v .:.. . .. .......? u.,. ._ . . . , <br />?L <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 96-30 <br />BY: THE MAYOR AND ENTIRE COUNCII, <br />A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE ACHICVEMENT BY <br />MATT FEHLNER <br />OF THE EAGLE SCOUT AWARD IN BOY SCOUTING <br />WHEREAS, this Council and the Administration recognize and reaffirm their <br />dedication to organized Scouting; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council and the Administration further recognize that those <br />participating in Scouting, both the youths and their leaders, are an invaluable asset to the <br />community and the Nation, and that the ideals of Scouting, the Scout Law and the Scout <br />Pledge are commitments that all citizens should strive for; and <br />WHEREAS, when one of our young citizens has been committed to Scouting to <br />such an extent that he earns the rank of Eagle Scout, it is truly a noteworthy <br />accomplishment; and <br />WBEREAS, MATT FEHLNER, as a member of Boy Scout Troop 664, has <br />served his fellow Scouts as an Assistant Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior <br />Patrol Leader, Senior Patrol Leader and Troop Guide and has participated in Memorial <br />Day parades and was chosen to serve as an Honarary Official in the All Scouts Weekend; <br />and <br />Wf-EREAS, MATT FEHLNER, in achieving his Eagle Scout Award earned <br />twenty-seven Merit Badges and the Bronze Palm Award; and <br />WHEREAS, while MATT was u.ndertaking all these Scouting projects, he was an <br />active member of the Olmsted Falls United Church of Christ where he was a member of <br />the Youth Crroup and served as a Junior Deacon; and <br />WHEREAS, MATT is currently a Senior at North Olmsted High School where he <br />participates in Tennis, is a member of the Marching Band, Wind Ensemble and Key Club <br />and has been a Band Section Leader for two years; and <br />WHEREAS, the reception of the Eagle Scout Award by MATT FEHLNER is a <br />noteworthy accomplishment deserviug of the congratulations of the entire community.
