_ ;?.?? ..... u . <br />} .,. . <br />901.03 NOTIFICATION OF POLICE DIVISION. <br />Upon the issuance of a permit as set forth in Section 901.02, it shall be the duty of <br />the City Engineer to advise the Police Division of the location, time and duration <br />of the street opening, in order that preparation can be made by the Police Division <br />for traffic control in the area of the street opening. <br />901.04 CONTRACTOR TO MAKE STREET REPAIRS: FAILURE TO <br />COMPLY. <br />(a) Upon completion of the work authorized by the permit granted by compliance <br />with the provisions of this Chapter, the Contractor shall make such temporary <br />repairs as are necessary to maintain traffic and shall promptly repair the roadway <br />and/or right of way as soon as possible. In the event the Contractor fails to make <br />such repairs within ten days after notice from the City, the City may cause such <br />repairs to be made and the cost deducted from the deposits required by Section <br />901.01. In the event of an emergency or condition causing a serious hazard to <br />the public, the Service Director may cause such hazard as immediately abated and <br />the cost of such abatement shall be deducted from the deposits. <br />(b) All repairs shall be done to the satisfaction of the City Engineer. <br />901.05 DEDUCTION AND REFUND. <br />When such work is completed to the satisfaction of the City Engineer, the cost of <br />inspection and supervision shall be forwarded to the Finance Director, who shall <br />deduct from the deposit made by the applicant the cost incurred by the City and <br />shall issue a check to the applicant for the return of the excess over and above <br />the amount necessary to reimburse the City for the cost of inspection and <br />supervision. Where the repair work is done by or under the direction of the <br />City, the cost of such work shall be deducted from the deposit required under <br />Section 901.01, together with the cost of engineering and supervision. Any <br />excess remaining, after payment of charges for such work, shall be returned to the <br />applicant as provided above. <br />901.06 INSUFFICIENT DEPOSIT. <br />If the deposit is insufficient to reimburse the City, the Engineering Division shall <br />collect from the applicant a sufficient amount to reimburse the City for expense <br />incurred. If the applicant fails to deposit sufficient funds to reimburse the City for <br />the cost of inspection and general supervision or anticipated repairs within three <br />days of notice to do so, then the City Engineer may issue an order to stop work for <br />all or part of the work associated with the street opening. Failure to heed such <br />stop work order shall be cause to revoke the permit to open the street. <br />901.07 TREELAWN OPENINGS; PERMIT AND FEE. <br />If an application is made for a permit to open a street in the area of the public <br />sidewalk or treelawn, then the applicant shall make the payment of thirty
