(b) All repairs shall be done to the satisfaction of the City Engineer. <br />901.05 DEDUCTION AND REFITND. <br />When such work is completed to the satisfaction of the City Engineer, the cost of <br />inspection and supervision shall be forwarded to the Finance Director, who shall invoice <br />the public utility company for inspection charges or when a deposit has been made shall <br />deduct from the deposit made by the applicant the cost incurred by the City and shall <br />issue a check to the applicant for the return of the excess over and above the amount <br />necessary to reimburse the City for the cost of inspection and supervision. Costs shal( be <br />calculated at the rate of forty dollars ($40.00) per liour per man Monday through Friday, <br />sixty dollars ($60.00) per hour per man on Saturday and eighty dollars ($80.00) per hour <br />per man on Sunday or a City Holiday for the field crew for inspection. Where the repair <br />work is done by or under the direction of the City, the cost of such work shal( be <br />deducted from the deposit required under Section 901.01, together with the cost of <br />engineering and supervision. Any excess remaining, after payment of charges for such <br />work, shall be returned to the applicant as provided above. <br />901.06 INSUFFICIENT DEPOSIT. <br />If the deposit is insufficient to reimburse the City, the Engineering Division shall <br />collect from the applicant a sufficient amowlt to reimburse the City for expense <br />incurred. If the applicant fails to deposit sufficient funds to reimburse the City for the <br />cost of inspection and general supervision or anticipated repairs within threedays of <br />notice to do so, then the City Engineer may issue an order to stop work for all or part of <br />the work associated with the street opening. Failure to heed such stop work order shall <br />be cause to revoke the permit to open the street. <br />901.07 TREELAWN OPENINGS; PERMIT AND FEE. <br />If an application is made for a permit to open a street in the area of the public <br />sidewalk or treelawn, then tlle applicant shall make the payment of thirty <br />dollars ($30.00) for a permit and shall deposit with the Finance Department <br />thirty dollars ($30.00) per square yard based on the size of the opening, as a <br />guarantee that he will restore the sidewalk or the treelawn to its original <br />condition or pay the City for restoring the same. Such deposit, less the cost <br />of inspection, shali be ceturned to the person, firm or corporation making the <br />same upon the issuance of a certificate by the City Engineer that the treelawn or <br />sidewalk has been restored to the same condition as before the opening was made. <br />901.08 BARRIERS AND WARNING DEVICES. <br />(a) Any time a permit is issued pursuant to Section 901.01 and 901.07, the person <br />making application or his agent during the excavation period prior to the final <br />completion of work as specified in Section 901.04, shall provide suitable barriers, <br />warning devices and/or (ights, all of which shall be in accordance with the direction of <br />the City Engineer. <br />(b) If the City Engineer should determine that the item specified in subsection <br />(a) hereof are insufficient and a flagman will be required, then the Contractor
