? <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUT/ON NO. 96-25 <br />BY.• THE MAYOR AND ENTIRE CITY COUNC/L <br />A RESOLUT/ON COMMENDING THE NORTH OLMSTED MUNICIPAL BUS <br />LINE (NOMBL) ON /TS 65TH ANNIVERSARY, MARCH 1, 1996, AND <br />DECLAR/NG AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, The North O/msted Municipa/ Bus Line (NOMBL) will <br />ce/ebrate its 65th anniversary on March 1, 1996; and <br />WHEREAS, NOMBL is one of two municipally-operated bus lines in the <br />State of Ohio and serves the cities of North O/msted, Fairview Park, Lakewood, <br />O/msted Falls, O/msted Township, Rocky River, West/ake and C/eve/and; and <br />WHEREAS, This 40-coach fleet carries about 1.2 million passengers <br />each year and operates seven different routes under a contract with the Greater <br />Cleve/and Regional Transit Authority; and <br />WHEREAS, NOMBL continues its 65-year heritage of excellent public <br />se?vice, reliability and convenience to the peop/e of western Cuyahoga County. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE /T RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE <br />C/TY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF <br />OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That this Administration and City Council share great pride <br />in a system which has provided 65 years of dependab/e and faithful service and <br />is one of fivo, municipally-operated bus lines in the State of Ohio. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby dec/ared to be an emergency <br />measure immediate/y necessary for the preservation of the public hea/th, safety <br />and we/fare and further provided it receives an affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediate/y upon its <br />passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSE • ? <br />ATTEST: <br />C? <br />?.-?Barbara L.
