. <br />- ? - .? <br /> <br />SECTION 2: That any and all rates to be paid within Section 1 hereinot shall be <br />established by the Chief of Police. <br />SECTION 3: That pay rate ranges for years after 1997 will be increased no more <br />than the prior year annual increase per the Consumer Price Index for Wage Earners and <br />Clerical Workers within the Cleveland Consolidated Metropolitan Statistical Area. This <br />may be referred to as the CPIW within the Cleveland CMSA. <br />SECTION 4: That the salary ranges and amounts established for the year 1996 <br />will be effective retroactive to January 1, 1996. Salaries specified in this ordinance shall <br />be paid by the Director of Finance on a bi-weekly basis. <br />SECTION 5: That this Ordinance hereby repeals any and all Ordinances or parts <br />of Ordinances or Resolutions inconsistent herewith. <br />SECTION 6: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for <br />the further reason that it is immed.iately necessary for continuity of services of the Safety <br />Forces of the city and further, provided it receives the affumative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and <br />approval by the Mayor. <br />? <br />PASSED:? <br />r" <br />ATTEST: <br />` Barbara L.
