... .....-.. ??.,e.w+.J.m=Mra? ....::.....: . . . . ...: , ...... ........... . .. ... .. . ... . . . . . . .... . 6,...?. ........ <br />1" <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 96- 17 <br />BY: CQUNCILMAN DUANE LIMPERT <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CONTYtOL FILE OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED TO PROVIDE FOR THE INSTALLATION OF <br />A TRAFFIC SIGNAL SI'STEM AT THE INTERSECTION OF LORAIN ROAD, <br />WHITETHORN AVENUE AND THE TUYS R US DRIVE AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS Council and Administration have determined that it is in the best interest <br />of public safety to install a traffic signal system at the intersection of Lorain Road, <br />Whitethorn Avenue and the Toys R Us Drive. <br />WHEREAS, is the desire of this Council and Administration to amend the Traffic <br />Control File to provide for the installation of said traffic control signal systems; and <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 305 of the Traffic Code provides for the maintenance of a Traffic <br />Control File which said file can be amended only by Ordinance. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OI.MSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Police Department be and it is hereby authorized and directed to <br />amend the Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted to indicate therein the <br />installation of a traffic signal system as aforesaid. <br />SECTION 2: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to have the proper <br />department cause said traffic sign system to be installed in accordance with the terms of <br />this Ordinance. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergeticy measure <br />iinmediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and <br />for the further reason that it is immediately necessary to correct a traffic problem which <br />exists at said locations and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds <br />of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediateiy upon its <br />passage and approval by the Mayor.
