BY: COUNCILMAN DUANE LIMPERT <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CONTROL FILE OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED TO PROVIDE FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A <br />REGULATORY SIGN READING "TRUCK ROUTE" (ARROW POINTING <br />WEST) AT THE WAL-MART EXI']C DRIVE ONTO COUNTRY CLUB <br />BOULEVARD AND A R-142-24 " NO THRU TRUCK" SYMBOL SIGN ON THE <br />SOUTH SIDE OF COUNTRY CLUB BOULEVARD IMMEDIATELY EAST OF <br />THE WAL-MART DRIVE AND IMMEDIATELY WEST OF THE COUNTRY <br />CLUB BOULEVARD AND COLUMBIA ROAD INTERSECTION, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS , this Council has determined that it is in the best interest of public safety, <br />health and welfare of the citizens of the City of North Olmsted to prohibit southbound <br />trucks from the Wal-Mart drive from turning east since Columbia Road is a truck <br />prohibited route. <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 305 of the Traffic Code provides for the maintenance of a Traffic <br />Control File which said file can be amended only by Ordinance. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Police Department be and it is hereby authorized and directed to <br />amend the Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted to indicate thereon the <br />installation of the truck prohibition signs at the intersections of Country Club Boulevard <br />and Wal-Mart drive and Country Club Boulevard and Columbia Road, as aforesaid. <br />SECTION 2: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to cause said <br />signs to be installed in accordance with the provisions of this Ordinance. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall <br />go into immediate force and effect upon its signing by the Mayor.
