CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 96 - 10 <br />BY: Councilman Dean McKay ' <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO <br />ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF CATCH BASIN, MANHOLE, <br />SIDEWALK, CURBING AND PAVEMENT REPAIRS AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS IN <br />THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City Engineer has had plans and specifications prepared for catch basin, <br />manhole, sidewalk, curbing and pavement repairs at various locations in the City of North <br />Olmsted and deems it appropriate for the safety and welfare of the public to construct the <br />aforesaid improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council having been advised of the recommendation of the City <br />Engineer is desirous of having the Director of Public Service advertise for bids in accordance <br />with the plans and specifications now in his office for the purpose of catch basin, manhole, <br />sidewalk, curbing and pavement repairs. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and is hereby authorized to advertise <br />for the bids for the repair of catch basin, manhole, sidewalk, curbing and pavement repairs at <br />various locations in the City of North Olmsted, all of which shall be in accordance with <br />specifications now on file in his office, and that upon approval by the Board of Control, the <br />Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a contract and execute the same on behalf of the City of <br />North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the <br />further reason that it is immediately necessary to proceed with the engineering services for this <br />project to stay within the schedule required by the County of Cuyahoga Department of <br />Development and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the <br />Mayor
