SR-252 DATE <br />BY: MAYOR BOYLE <br />An emergency ordinance enacted by the City of North Olmsted, County of Cuyahoga, Ohio, in the matter of <br />the hereinafter described improvement and to request cooperation by the Director of Transportation. <br />WHEREAS, the City has identified the need for and proposes the improvement of the public highway which <br />is described as follows: <br />Upgrade blunt-end guardrail treatments at various locations along Columbia Road <br />(SR-252) from Columbia Square to the North Corporation Line in the City of North <br />Olmsted to meet National Highway System standards. <br />said portion of highway within the municipal corporation limits being hereinafter referred to as the <br />improvement, and <br />WHEREAS, the Ciry further desires cooperation from the Director of Transportation in the planning, design, <br />and construction of said improvement. <br />NOW THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, Ohio: <br />SECTION I (Cooperation) <br />Tha+ t:P Cltty hP>'8b,' ' TPqAPSts 1?P coopera+.+:or_ of ths Director of Transport-ation ir the cost of the above <br />described improvement as follows: <br />The entire cost of the improvement will be provided by the Department. No financial <br />participation will be required by the City. However, the City agrees to assume and <br />contribute one hundred percent (100%) of the cost of any work included in the <br />construction contract, at the request of the City, which is determined by the Director not <br />to be part of or made necessary by the improvement. <br />SECTION II (Consent) <br />That it is declared to be in the public interest that the consent of said City be and such consent is hereby given <br />to the Director of Transportation to construct the above described improvement, in accordance with plans, <br />specifications and estimates as approved by the Director. <br />SECTION III (Authority to Sign) <br />That the Mayor of said City is hereby empowered and directed on behalf of the City to enter into agreements <br />with thz Director of Transportation necessary to complete the planning and construction of this improvement. <br />SECTION IV (Traffic Control Signals and Devices) <br />That traffic control devices installed within the limits of the project will conform with Section 4511 of the <br />Ohio Revised Code. <br />Page 1 of 3
