The ratio multiplied by the item measured (square foot, seat, bay, <br />etc.) shall be calculated to the nearest one-tenth unit. The tap-in charge will then be calculated by multipl <br />the number of benefited units by the rate per unit applicable at such time. <br />(2) Uses not specifically listed shall be classified in accordance with the most similar listed use. <br />(3) For a building with more than one use, the sewer tap-in charge shall be calculated separately for each <br />and summed for a total tap-in charge with the exception that: <br />(a) For non-simultaneous main uses such as found in school and church facilities, as determined b <br />the Service Director, each main use in the facilities shall be separately calculated and the <br />largest individual value shall be used to calculate the fee. <br />(b) For minor accessory uses, such areas may be omitted from the calculations if it is determined <br />that such areas do not have an adverse impact on the volume or type of sewage flow. <br />(4) When a building or portion of a building is changed from one use to another additional tap-in fees ma <br />be charged if the new use will cause an increase in the volume of flow or amount of pollutants in the <br />sewage. <br />(c) Charizes Are Additional. The permits and charges provided for in this section shall <br />not be deemed to preclude the subsequent levy of assessments against benefited properties <br />to provide funds for the construction of sanitary sewers required to provide local sewer <br />service to such properties, and the permit and charges provided for by this section shall be <br />in addition to any other pernuts and charges required by any other <br />5
