1 <br />BY: Councilman David Lind <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 96-147 <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE COMI'ENSATION <br />AND BENEFITS TO BE PAID TO ALL PART-TIlVIE HOURLY <br />EMPLOYEES EMPLOYED BY THE NORTH OLMSTED <br />NILTNICIPAL BUS LINE, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />W-BEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to establish the pay benefits for part- <br />time hourly NOMBL employees, effective August 1, 1996 in order that they be similar to <br />those presently offered to employees of the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the compensation to be paid to all part-time hourly employees <br />of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line shall be as follows: <br />Part-time Hourlv Emplovees <br />Effective August l, 1996 <br />Classification <br />Title <br />Bus Operator <br />Hostler <br />Extra Labor <br />Rate Stens <br />1* A 2* B 3* C 4* D <br />$10.23 $11.08 $11.94 $13.64 <br />$9.66 $10.47 $11.27 $12.88 <br />$5.00 to $8.00 ranges** <br />*Each rate step is 2,080 part-time hours. Part-time hourly Bus Operators and <br />Hostlers who are subsequently hired full-time will remain in the rate step schedule they are <br />in as a full-time employee. However, no credit with part-time hours will be applied <br />towards their full-time employment wage progression within that rate step. <br />(A) Hired Part-Time on or after May 1, 1995 <br />(B) Hired Part-Time before May l, 1995 <br />However, a retired employee of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line who had at <br />least five (5) years of full-time service and is re-employed as part-time within twenty-four <br />(24) months of his/her retirement date shall be hired at Rate Step Four (4) of this <br />ordinance.
