,. <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 96 - 144 <br />BY: Councilman Dean McKav <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIItECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO <br />ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR A SUPERVISORY CONTROL AND DATA <br />ACQUISITION (SCADA) SYSTEM FOR THE WWTP AND FOR THE SANITARY <br />SEWER SYSTEM AS DETAILED IN THE SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO CONTRACT FOR THE SAME, AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Council of the City of North Olmsted is desirous of constructing a <br />supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system for the WWTP and for the sanitary <br />sewer system, and <br />WHEREAS, the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency is requiring improvements on <br />monitoring equipment to comply with Best Management Practices, and <br />WHEREAS, the necessary specifications, as prepared under the direction of the <br />Engineering Department of the City of North Olmsted, are on file, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter into an <br />Agreement to construct said improvement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCII, OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby authorized to <br />advertise for bids for a supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system for the WWTP <br />and for the sanitary sewer system according to specifications now on file in his office and that, <br />upon approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a contract <br />and execute same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and further <br />provided it receives the affirtnative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take <br />effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
