TO <br />PROVIDE CONSTRUCTION SURVEYING SERVICES FOR THE CLAGUE PARK <br />SANITARY SEWER RETENTION IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City has received a grant fronthe Ohio Public Works Commission for <br />the Clague Park Sanitary Retention System and one of the conditions of the grant is that the City <br />contract with a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) firm for various engineering services; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor has recommended that the services of the (MBE) engineering <br />firm of G& T Associates Inc., be hired to accomplish the aforesaid services due to their expertise <br />in this field; and <br />WHEREAS, upon the recommendation of the Mayor, this Council does hereby express <br />its desire to have the Mayor enter into a contract with said firm for and on behalf of the City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into an <br />Agreement with G& T Associates Inc., to provide construction surveying services for the Clague <br />Park Sanitary Sewer Retention Improvement Project. A copy of said Agreement is attached <br />hereto and made a part hereof and marked Earhibit "A". <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the <br />further reason that it is immediately necessary to proceed with the engineering services for this <br />project and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of <br />Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the <br />Mayor
