CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 96 - 112 <br />BY: Councilman David Lind <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO <br />ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) SIDEWALK SNOW <br />PLOW WITH DIESEL ENGINE TO BE USED BY THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT. <br />WHEREAS, this Council recognizes that the sidewalk snow plow presently being used by <br />the Service Department has accumulated a great many miles and is presently obsolete for <br />purposes of utilizing said vehicle for snow removal purposes, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Public Service to <br />advertise for bids for the purchase of one (1) sidewalk snow plow which will be used by the <br />Service Department. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCII, OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby authorized to <br />advertise for bids for the purchase of one (1) sidewalk snow plow to be used by the Service <br />Department, which shall be in accordance with specifications now on file in his office, and that <br />said specifications include the trade-in of one (1) sidewalk snow plow. Upon approval by the <br />Board of Control, the Mayor is authorized to enter into a contract and execute same on behalf of <br />the City of North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the <br />further reason that it is immediately necessary to replace the existing sidewalk snow plow being <br />used by the Service Department which is obsolete because of excessive wear and tear, and further <br />provided it received the a,ffirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it sha11 take <br />effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
