` V? <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 96 - 111 <br />BY: Councilman David Lind <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO <br />ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) DUAL FUEL ICE- <br />RESURFACING MACHINE TO BE USED BY THE RECREATION DEPARTMENT. <br />WHEREAS, this Council recognizes that the ice-resurfacing machine presently being <br />used by the Recreation Department has accumulated excessive wear and tear and is presently <br />obsolete for purposes of utilizing said equipment for ice rink purposes, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Public Service to <br />advertise for bids for the purchase of one (1) Dual Fuel Ice Resurfacing Machine which will be <br />used by the Recreation Department. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby authorized to <br />advertise for bids for the purchase of one (1) Dual Fuel Ice Resurfacing Machine to be used by <br />the Recreation Department, which shall be in accordance with specifications now on file in his <br />office, and that said specifications include the trade-in of one (1) Ice Resurfacing Machine. Upon <br />approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor is authorized to enter into a contract and execute <br />same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the <br />further reason that it is immediately necessary to replace the existing ice resurfacing machine <br />being used by the Recreation Department which is obsolete because of excessive wear and tear, <br />and further provided it received the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it <br />shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
