be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 1: 'I`ha.t beginning 3une 15, 1960, the base sal.aries of the members of the Police Department are hereby fixed and deterrnined to be as follows: Chief of Paliee ? 5J17.28 Annually Lieutenant of Police 6,438.00 " Sergeants 6,115.20 " Patrolmen for First Year 59190.96 " Patrolmen for Seccazd Year 59430.72 " Patrolmen after Second Year 5,856.Qp " School Guards 1.50 I'er hour Auxiliary Police 1.50 Per hour which salaaries shall be pa,yable by the Auditor as of June 30, 1960, as follows: Chief of Police $244.03; Lieutenant of Police $274.79; Sergeants $261.01; Patxolmen for First -kar $221.57; Patrolmen f'or Second Yeax $231.81; and Patrolmen after Seco:nd Year $249.95, and that the rate of pay for said employees shall thereafter be at the base rate as hereinbefore ind.icated, payable semi-monthly. Full time employees of the Police Depaxtment having com-pleted 12 years of continuous service as a full time employee, and only after assuming fu11 time employ- ment, shall be paid an additional two percent of their base annual sala:Ly per annum thereafter until the completion of their 20th year of continuous service in said depa,rtmen.t as a full time employee; those employees having continuous full tine service in excess of 20 yeaxs until the completion of their 25th year shall be paid an additiona7 three percent of their base annual salary; and those emplayees in said department ha.ving completed more than 25 years of continuous fu11 time service shall receive an additional four gercent of their base annual salary pex annum thereafter. In computi.ng length of service for the purpose of making payments in the manner hereinabove set forth for longevity, no credit shall be given for service as a part time employee of either the Police Department or Fire :Department. Such limitation is only to apply for the purpose of computing longevity bonuses, and such exclusion for part time service in either of the Safety Departments shall not restrict such part time service for any other benefit so a].lowed such part time service for employees in the Safety Departments allowed by other ordi.n.ances of the city or in the Police iqelief and 1'ension Fund. In addition to their regular salary, a11 regular members of th.e Police Department, includin.g officers, shall during each ca,lendar year receive a clothing allowance of $100.00, to be determi.ned and disbursed by and with the approva,l of th.e Chief of Police.
