CITY OF NOR'I'Fi OLMS'I'EI) <br />RESOLUTION TJO. 2987 <br />By: Mr. O'Neill <br />RESOLUTI(}N gtTTHQRIZING THE SERVICE DIRECTOB TO ENTEft INTO A <br />CON3'R1CT WITH ME LAVINSKY FaR SILPAGE OF N0N-BtTRNABLE <br />RtTBBISH FDR 3'gE YF,AR 19609 AND DECLARING AN ENIERGENCY. <br />WHERLAS, the contract heretofore entered into by the City with Moe <br />Lavinsly for the salvage of non-burnable rubbish has terminated,and <br />WliEREAS, it is determined advisable that another contract for the <br />year 1960 be i.mmediately entered into, which scavenger work pexformed by said <br />Moe Lavinsk,y has been beneficial to the City in reduci.ng rubbish pickup require- <br />ments performed by the Service Department, and such scavenger ha.s performed his <br />previous eontract without causing any undue nuisance within the City, <br />NOW, T.HIl3F',IbRE, BE IT i3ESOLVED by the Council of the City of North <br />Olmsted, County of Czgahoga, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1: That the Service Director be and he is hereby authorized <br />to enter into a sal.vage contract with Moe Lavinsky, providing for the salvage of <br />non-burnable rubbish, at the curb of streets within said City, for the year 1960, <br />and for such service and privilege said scavenger is to pay to the City the sum <br />of Twenty-Five Dolla.rs ($25.00) per month. <br />Section 2: That this resolution is he:reby declaxed to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the i.mmediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety <br />and welfare of the City of North Olmsted, a,nd such emergency exists by virtue of <br />the immediate necessity of providing a contract with Moe I,avineky, a ecavenger, <br />for the purpose of protection to the City in the salvagirg of non-burnable rabbish <br />during the year 1960. <br />Section 3: Wherefore, this resolution sha,ll take immediate effect from <br />and after its passage, otherwise, at the earliest period allowed by law. <br />Passed: February 21 1960 <br />ATTEST: <br />i? . <br />Louise Hall, Clerk of Cauncil <br />Bruce MacDonald, President of Council <br />APPRU-I?ED: <br />. ..rl .Y /j ?r'C? <br />P8:izl J.
