WI-Ir.RW., after due consideration the Covncil oi the City of North 0lmsted., acting upon the recomznendations of the Building ComYn.-i.ssioner of the City and of the Director of Fublic Service,. deemed it advantageous to the Gity and to contractors to enact the Building Code of the State of Ohio, for all occupancies stated therein# and WFMEAS, the Building Department of -the City of North Olmsted is under the direct supervision of a person having had at least ten years' paid experience in building construction and iias been in responsible charge of the design and/or construction of buildings, and WMFA,S, the ?,ity has employed a registered eng:ineer as its city engirieer wtlo, as a part of his duties, assumed tha responsibility of the engineer applicable to tho requirementa of the 4hio State Building Code in the adm3nistration of said Code as enacted by the City. VpW., THE?EF'OREj, BE IT Cfft.DAINED by the Council of the City af North Olmted., State of Uhio: Section 1: That from the effective date of this ordinance3 that the provisions and requ3xements of the Ohio State Building Code for all occupancies named in s1zc'z code$ and all Building Code Ru7e s and Regulations of the Chio Board of Building Standards and a1.l published Building Code requirements of the Division of Factory and Building Inspection of the Ohio Department of Industria7. Relations, shall be and represent the m,iniznum requirements for a11 buildings proposed to be constructed and erected or constructed and ereeted in -che City of North Olmsted, and are hereby incorpora- ted and made a part of.he North 0]msted City Building Code as if the san e were written into such Code eir entirety. Section 2: Tizat the Building Department in the City of North Olmsted, shall be and continus to be under the direct supervision of a persvn who has had and sha11 have to be qualified to head said department at least ten years' paid experience in building construction and shal.l furtl.ar be required to have been in responsible charge of the design and/or construction of bua.ldings, who sha11, together with the City Ergineer, administer the requirements of the Ohio State Building Code. Said Building Cormiissioner or the head of the Building Department of the City, is and shall be in the future, one generally in.formed on the auality and strength of building materials and otrier provisions of the Qhio Stato 3uildi.ng Code enabli.zg him to properly adtninister said Code made a part of t,he Building Code of tihe City of North Olmsted as though fu11y rewritten therein.
